A.C.E. Partner Certificate Programs

Business Certificate Program

Begin your studies at any A.C.E. Language Institute location and then apply for a Certificate Program in Business at the University of Washington Professional & Continuing Education, Downtown Program, with the chance to apply for an Internship with a local company arranged by the University of Washington. After completion of A.C.E. Level 5, students can apply for one of three certificate options with no TOEFL required.

  • Business for International Professionals a 6-month certificate program, provides a better understanding of trade, marketing, law and finance in the competitive, global environment. Develop superior communication and negotiation skills by improving your English and building your business vocabulary. Study strategic marketing and learn techniques that increase your competitive edge. Explore product distribution options and e-commerce opportunities.
  • Fundamentals of Project Management a 3-month certificate program, explores the core principles of project management. Investigate case studies and participate in teams to study risk management, effective communication, costs, scheduling and more. Learn to effectively lead a project and apply planning tools and principles to real world examples.
  • Intensive Business English Program (IBEP) a 10-week certificate program, uses the resources of the city to increase your fluency and pronunciation in business situations (social interactions, transactions and negotiations, meetings, telephone conversations, presentations) and knowledge of business terminology. Improve your written business communication skills (letters, faxes, reports, e-mail) and awareness of the business environment in the United States, including knowledge of business technologies, such as the Web and Web-related business concepts.

TESOL Certificate Program

The School of Teaching ESL will accept your completion of A.C.E. Level 6 for their English requirements without having to take the TOEFL. Complete A.C.E. Level 6 and then apply to their TESOL certificate program.
